Casi todos los parques fotovoltaicos en explotación han sido instalados con orientación de los módulos monofaciales hacia el Sur y con un ángulo de inclinación fijo, generalmente 15 grados. La distancia entre filas se calcula en función de este ángulo y de la latitud en un escenario, tomando el azimut y la elevación del sol correspondiente a cierta hora solar en el solsticio de invierno. Los autores del presente artículo analizan que, como solución a la limitación del área, la reducción del espacio entre filas, incluso para los módulos bifaciales, resultaría en una mayor generación y, podría ser más factible económicamente por área con relación al enfoque tradicional.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Cuba is a small country with land constraints for the construction of new solar farms. Moreover, Cuba faces a deep scarcity of financial resources. Almost all solar farms commissioned have been mounted with monofacial modules towards the South and with a fixed tilt angle, generally 15 degrees. The inter-row spacing was calculated taking into account this angle and the corresponding latitude, azimuth and elevation of the sun at a certain solar hour in the winter solstice. The authors analyze that, facing land restrictions, a reduction of inter-row spacing, even for bifacial modules, would imply a greater generation and could be more beneficial economically per area regarding the traditional approach.]]></p></abstract>
