La implementación adecuada de programas de cribado auditivo neonatal, garantiza el diagnóstico temprano y su intervención. Los equipos utilizados en estos programas deben ser fáciles de operar, ser portables y presentar métodos automáticos para la detección de las pérdidas auditivas. En este trabajo se presenta el Módulo de Control, basado en el microcontrolador STM32F429xx, del sistema de cribado neonatal conocido como Infantix, desarrollado por el Centro de Neurociencias de Cuba. Este módulo tiene entre sus funciones, alimentar y controlar el resto del sistema, procesar las señales bioeléctricas provenientes del módulo registrador, almacenar los datos de los pacientes y sus pruebas, y establecer la interfaz con el usuario. Como resultado se obtuvo un Módulo de Control, que brinda portabilidad al sistema, alimentado por batería y de bajo consumo. El módulo implementado presenta una interfaz de usuario amigable y la capacidad de ejecutar pruebas de forma automática, sin necesidad de la presencia de un personal altamente calificado. Con el desarrollo de este módulo, surge una nueva alternativa para la detección temprana de pérdidas auditivas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The congenital hearing loss causes important changes in the cerebral organization, as well as a delay in the neurodevelopment of the child. The adequate implementation of neonatal auditory screening programs guarantees early diagnosis and intervention. The equipment used in these programs must be easy to operate, portable and present automatic methods for the detection of hearing loss. In this paper we present the Control Module, based on the STM32F429xx microcontroller, of the neonatal screening system known as Infantix, developed by the Neurosciences Center of Cuba. This module has among its functions, feed and control the rest of the system, process the bioelectrical signals from the recording module, store the patient data and their tests, and establish the interface with the user. As a result, a Control Module was obtained, which provides portability to the system, powered by battery and low consumption. The implemented module presents a friendly user interface and the ability to run tests automatically, without the need for highly qualified personnel. With the development of this module, a new alternative for the early detection of hearing loss emerges.]]></p></abstract>
