Siendo así, innumerables técnicas de obturación de conductos radiculares fueron introducidas, todas ellas tratando de cumplir esa función. La gran mayoría de las nuevas técnicas de obturación utilizan gutapercha termoplastificada para rellenar mejor todos los espacios de los conductos radiculares. Las técnicas de obturación termoplastificada fueron introducidas en el mercado para procurar una mejor homogeneidad, obturación tridimensional y adaptación superficial de gutapercha. El objetivo de esta revisión de literatura es exponer las técnicas de obturación termoplastificada como son Thermafil y System B, describiendo así los procedimientos de ejecución, ventajas, desventajas, indicaciones y contraindicaciones; así como su uso docente posible uso docente.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT One of the main objectives of the obturation is to achieve an efficient apical sealing, in order to prevent the reinfection of the residual bacteria that remain in the root canal system after the mechanical chemical preparation has been carried out. Thus, innumerable root canal filling techniques were introduced, all of them trying to fulfill this function. The vast majority of new filling techniques use thermoplasticized gutta-percha to better fill all the spaces in the root canals. Thermoplastic obturation techniques were introduced in the market to ensure better homogeneity, three-dimensional obturation and superficial adaptation of gutta-percha. The objective of this literature review is to expose thermoplastic filling techniques such as Thermafil and System B, thus describing the execution procedures, advantages, disadvantages, indications and contraindications and its teaching use.]]></p></abstract>
