Los objetivos específicos fueron: determinar la relación entre el uso de herramientas de almacenamiento y la satisfacción académica; identificar la relación entre el uso de herramientas colaborativas y la satisfacción académica; definir la relación entre el uso de herramientas de comunicación y la satisfacción académica; precisar la relación entre el uso de herramientas para creación de contenido y la satisfacción académica; evaluar la relación entre el uso de herramientas para evaluación y la satisfacción académica. El estudio tuvo enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no experimental y nivel descriptivo correlacional. La población fueron 3.850 estudiantes de una universidad privada de Lima Sur, Perú. La muestra fueron 127 estudiantes del sexto ciclo de ingeniería industrial. Los datos se recopilaron mediante un cuestionario con 45 preguntas, las cuales tuvieron cuatro opciones de respuesta. Los resultados arrojaron que el 54.3% de los encuestados percibe nivel medio del uso de herramientas virtuales, asimismo el 47.2% reportó nivel medio en satisfacción académica. Por otra parte, se comprobó la existencia de correlación positiva alta entre ambas variables, siendo que r=0.680 y sig=0.000&lt;0.00.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The general objective was to determine the relationship between the use of virtual tools and academic satisfaction in students of private universities in Lima Sur - Peru. The specific objectives were: to determine the relationship between the use of storage tools and academic satisfaction; Identify the relationship between the use of collaborative tools and academic satisfaction; define the relationship between the use of communication tools and academic satisfaction; specify the relationship between the use of tools for content creation and academic satisfaction; Evaluate the relationship between the use of tools for evaluation and academic satisfaction. The study had quantitative approach, non -experimental design and correlational descriptive level. The population were 3,850 students from a private university in Lima Sur, Peru. The sample were 127 students of the sixth industrial engineering cycle. The data were collected through a questionnaire with 45 questions, which had four response options. The results showed that 54.3% of respondents receive average level of the use of virtual tools, also 47.2% reported average level in academic satisfaction. On the other hand, the existence of a high positive correlation between both variables was verified, since r = 0.680 and sig = 0.000 &lt;0.00.]]></p></abstract>
