En la investigación realizada, se hace referencia a aspectos esenciales relacionados con la inteligencia emocional, desde el punto de vista teórico, así como a los resultados de su aplicación durante el desarrollo de situaciones simuladas en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de la asignatura Práctica Integral de la Lengua Inglesa VI. El artículo responde al proyecto de investigación &#8220;El perfeccionamiento de la enseñanza del Inglés en las Educaciones Primaria, Media y Superior&#8221;, de la Facultad de Educación en Lenguas Extranjeras de la Universidad de Ciencias Pedagógicas Enrique José Varona, adscrito al programa ramal: El sistema educativo cubano: desarrollo y perspectiva.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Emotional intelligence plays an important role in the teaching-learning process of English as a foreign language. In the research that was carried out, we make reference to some important aspects about emotional intelligence, from the theoretical point of view, as well as the results obtained while applying them in simulated situations during the teaching-learning process of Integrated English Practice VI. The article is derived from the research Project: &#8220;The enhancement of English teaching in Primary, High and Higher Educations&#8221;, at the School of Education in Foreign Languages from Enrique José Varona University of Pedagogical Sciences, attached to the National Program: The Cuban Educational System: perspective of development.]]></p></abstract>
