El propósito del estudio fue analizar el efecto de la inyección de aguas residuales petrolizadas en el incremento de la producción de un bloque de este yacimiento, tomando como referencia los valores de producción en un periodo anterior al inicio de la aplicación del método y contrastándolos con los valores obtenidos posteriormente. Se logró precisar la declinación media anual y la producción incrementada después de la aplicación del método. También se pudo determinar el factor de reemplazo del volumen de agua para la recuperación de petróleo en el bloque. Con este método de recuperación secundaria se logró que la declinación media de la producción disminuyera de un 10,24 % antes de la inyección de agua hasta un 4,75 % luego de aplicada esta. La producción anual incrementada se eleva del 19,53 % en el año 17 de explotación al 74,99 % de la producción total en el año 21.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Oil production in the Pina oilfield registered a notable decrease, which prompted applying of secondary recovery methods. The purpose of the study was to analyze how the injection of petroleum wastewater influenced the increase of production of that particular block, taking as reference production values of prior periods before implementing the method and comparing them with further values. It was possible to specify the annual decline average as well as the increased production after applying the method. It was also possible to establish the required volumes of water for injecting the block. With this secondary recovery method, the average decline in production was reduced from 10,24 % before water injection to 4,75 % after it was applied. Increased annual production rose from 19,53 % in 17th year of exploitation to 74,99 % of total production in 21st. year.]]></p></abstract>
