The tapes used were the existing models in the company, which were acquired from foreign firms that commercialize components of irrigation systems in Cuba. The samples of the irrigation tapes used were obtained from a universe of 500 emitters for each model, choosing 20 emitters of each tape model. The evaluations carried out were the determination of the hydraulic characteristics and quality of the tapes, determination of the coefficient of variation of manufacture and of the variation of the flow, determination of the flow-pressure curve and determination of the variation of the flow product of the water temperature. The study showed the best quality, resistance, constancy in the variations of the flow, pressure and coefficient of variation of manufacture of the compensating Aqua Traxx tape in relation to the non-compensating one.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN El presente trabajo se desarrolló en áreas de la Empresa Agroindustrial de Ceballos, Ciego de Ávila, con el objetivo de realizar un estudio comparativo de dos modelos de cintas de riego, la Aqua Traxx autocompensante y la no compensante. Las cintas utilizadas fueron los modelos existentes en la empresa, las cuales fueron adquiridas de firmas extranjeras que comercializan componentes de sistemas de riego en Cuba. Las muestras de las cintas de riego utilizadas se obtuvieron de un universo de 500 emisores para cada modelo, escogiendo 20 emisores de cada modelo de cinta. Las evaluaciones realizadas fueron determinación de las características hidráulicas y calidad de las cintas. Determinación del coeficiente de variación de fabricación y de la variación del caudal. Determinación de la curva caudal-presión. Determinación de la variación del caudal producto de la temperatura del agua. El estudio demostró la mejor calidad, resistencia, constancia en las variaciones del caudal, presión y coeficiente de variación de fabricación de la cinta Aqua Traxx compensante en relación a la no compensante.]]></p></abstract>
