The analytic characterization of the propagation medium behavior under the acoustic disturbance produced by the sensor is presented, starting from a correlation function fitted to the real excitation signal generated by it. The influence of the catoptrics conditions of the separation boundary between the air and a set of materials in echo intensity is also referred. Likewise, the sensor response to the echo (considering the worst catoptrics conditions) is analytically characterized.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN La investigación aborda la modelación matemática, así como la caracterización analítica, del prototipo de un sensor de proximidad basado en ecolocalización acústica ultrasónica con compensación térmica. Se expone la caracterización analítica del comportamiento del medio de propagación ante la perturbación acústica producida por el sensor, a partir de una función de correlación ajustada a la señal de excitación real generada por el mismo. Se trata además la influencia de las condiciones catóptricas del límite de separación, entre el aire y un conjunto de materiales, en la intensidad del eco. Así mismo, es caracterizada analíticamente la respuesta del sensor ante el eco, considerando el peor de los casos, relativo a las condiciones catóptricas de formación del mismo.]]></p></abstract>
