<self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2077-28742024000100079&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2077-28742024000100079&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2077-28742024000100079&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN  Fundamento: el síndrome de Burnout en los trabajadores de salud; quienes por la naturaleza propia de su trabajo realizan actividades en constante estrés, deteriora su bienestar y, por ende, disminuye su desempeño laboral, lo cual produce insatisfacción y repercute negativamente en la calidad de atención a los pacientes.  Objetivo: determinar la relación entre el síndrome de Burnout y desempeño laboral en trabajadores de salud de un Hospital Modular Bicentenario del Perú.  Métodos: se llevó a cabo un estudio descriptivo, transversal durante los meses octubre-diciembre de 2023. Los participantes fueron evaluados virtualmente a través de dos cuestionarios que fueron remitidos vía WhatsApp empleando el formato Google Forms. Posteriormente, se analizaron los datos obtenidos utilizando la estadística descriptiva y la prueba no paramétrica de Rho de Spearman.  Resultados: se estableció que el 48 % de los participantes presentó síndrome de Burnout en nivel moderado, el 28 % en nivel alto y el 24 % nivel bajo. En cuanto al desempeño laboral, el 42 % mostró un nivel regular, el 34 % un nivel bueno y en el 24 % fue deficiente. Se encontró una relación significativa entre ambas variables (Rho = -0.228; p = 0.012).  Conclusiones: se determinó que existe relación significativa entre el síndrome de Burnout y el desempeño laboral en los trabajadores de salud de un hospital Modular Bicentenario del Perú.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT  Background:  Burnout syndrome in health workers; who, due to the nature of their work, carry out activities in constant stress, deteriorate their well-being and, therefore, reduce their work performance, which produces dissatisfaction and has a negative impact on the quality of patient care.  Objective:  determine the relationship between Burnout syndrome and work performance in health workers at a Bicentenario Modular Hospital in Peru.  Methods:  a descriptive, cross-sectional study was carried out during from October-to December 2023. The participants were evaluated virtually through two questionnaires that were sent via WhatsApp using the Google Forms format. Subsequently, the data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Spearman's non-parametric Rho test.  Results:  it was established that 48% of the participants presented Burnout syndrome at a moderate level, 28% at a high level and 24% at a low level. Regarding job performance, 42% showed an average level, 34% a good level and 24% showed a poor level. A significant relationship was found between both variables (Rho = -0.228; p = 0.012).  Conclusions:  it was determined that there is a significant relationship between Burnout syndrome and work performance in health workers at a Modular Bicentenario hospital in Peru.]]></p></abstract>
