Cuba CT-115 in dual-purpose livestock, data was collected from 14 indicators during six years. For three years, the area had normal management and biomass banks for the other three. Trimester-year combination allowed to create a data matrix with a total of 24 rows. The Statistical Model for Impact Measurement was used to interpret the results. Three principal components (PC) were selected, which explained 83.87% of the variability. PC1 explained 56%, PC2 16.47% and PC 3 11.3%. The three new variables were renamed as production, supplements and productivity, respectively, according to the variables that had a preponderance superior to 0.65 in each component. With these variables, impact indexes of each scenario were estimated. Production component changed its impact values, from negative to positive, in the three years with biomass banks, which showed the advantage of technology introduction. Through linear correlations, it was estimated that, in each trimester, the total number of cows increased by 1.84 ± 0.14; milk production at 298.37 ± 45.87 kg, weaned live weight at 44.81 ± 9.59 kg and stocking rate at 0.057 ± 0.07 LAU/ha. Biomass bank technology allowed to important indicators for dual-purpose livestock.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Para evaluar el impacto de la tecnología de los bancos de biomasa con Cenchrus purpureus vc. Cuba CT-115 en la ganadería de doble propósito, se captaron datos de 14 indicadores durante seis años. De estos, tres tuvieron el manejo normal de la zona, y tres bancos de biomasa. La combinación trimestre-año permitió confeccionar una matriz con un total de 24 filas. Se utilizó el Modelo Estadístico de Medición de Impacto para interpretar los resultados. Se seleccionaron tres componentes principales (CP), que explicaron 83.87 % de la variabilidad. El CP1 explicó 56 %, CP2 16.47 % y CP 3 11.3 %. Las tres nuevas variables se renombraron como producción, suplementos y productividad, respectivamente, de acuerdo con las variables que tuvieron preponderancia superior a 0.65 en cada componente. Con estas variables se estimaron los índices de impacto de cada escenario. El componente Producción cambió sus valores de impacto, de negativo a positivo, en los tres años con bancos de biomasa, lo que mostró la ventaja de la introducción de la tecnología. Mediante correlaciones lineales se estimó que, en cada trimestre, el número total de vacas se incrementó en 1.84 ± 0.14; la producción de leche en 298.37 ± 45.87 kg, el peso vivo destetado en 44.81 ± 9.59 kg y la carga en 0.057 ± 0.07 UGM/ha. La tecnología de bancos de biomasa permitió mejorar indicadores de importancia para la ganadería de doble propósito.]]></p></abstract>
