El objetivo de la investigación es analizar desde un marco reflexivo y explicativo las potencialidades del liderazgo como fuente de ventaja competitiva para las organizaciones, a partir de estudiar los diferentes estilos y las competencias de los directivos para enfrentar este reto. La investigación se soportó en los análisis de las teorías y enfoques derivados de la revisión bibliográfica. El tipo de estudio fue exploratorio de tipo analítico transversal, y se desarrolló en seis empresas del Cantón Macha, Provincia de El Oro, Ecuador, dedicadas a la producción de banano orgánico. Los resultados fundamentales fueron que los líderes no están en función de las oportunidades de las empresas y que los mismos no son utilizados en las potencialidades que la empresa puede tener en su producción.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Leadership is a fundamental starting point in the success of the efficiency, effectiveness and effectiveness of companies. The objective of the research is to analyze, from a reflective and explanatory framework, the potential of leadership as a source of competitive advantage for organizations, from studying the different styles and competencies of managers to face this challenge. The research was supported in the analysis of the theories and approaches derived from the bibliographic review. The type of study was exploratory of transversal analytical type, and was developed in six companies of the Macha Canton, Province of El Oro, Ecuador, dedicated to the production of organic bananas. The fundamental results were that the leaders are not depending on the opportunities of the companies and that they are not used in the potential that the company can have in its production.]]></p></abstract>
