Para su elaboración se empleó fundamentalmente el análisis documental permitiendo una valoración del estado del arte en la temática. Se sostiene que el análisis de la sostenibilidad debe ser abordado desde un enfoque de Economía Ecológica dado que los indicadores de la economía tradicional no son íntegramente adecuados para examinar la complejidad de este fenómeno. Se establecen los elementos conceptuales del análisis de ciclo de vida y el análisis energético como instrumentos de la Economía Ecológica para analizar los sistemas de gestión de residuos industriales pero justificado en sus limitaciones se propone su integración mediante el uso de los métodos de evaluación multicriterio. Como resultado final de la investigación se formuló un procedimiento metodológico para el análisis de la sostenibilidad en estos sistemas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The present work fits to an explanatory investigation which aim at analyzing the sustainability of the industrial wastes management. The documental analysis was mainly used for its preparation allowing to value the state of the art of the subject. It is held that the sustainability analysis should be made from an Ecological Economics approach because of the indicators of traditional economy aren&#8217;t entirely adequate to examine the complexity of this phenomena. The conceptual elements of life cycle analysis and energy analysis are established as Ecological Economics&#8217; instruments to analyze the industrial wastes management systems but justified in its limitations, it is proposed its integration using multi criteria evaluation methods. As a final result of the investigation, it was formulated a methodological procedure for the sustainability analysis of these systems.]]></p></abstract>
