El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo realizar una aproximación precisa y reflexiva a la naturaleza y puntos de vista existentes acerca de los modelos de gestión y cómo se desarrollan o aplican. A partir de un breve recuento histórico y de la revisión de estudios se identifican los enfoques y corrientes más importantes que han probado eficacia en la práctica gerencial, reseñando y explicando los principales modelos de gestión y sus elementos de aplicabilidad. Posteriormente se concretan los elementos de elaboración puntual de un modelo de gestión para concluir que las particularidades de la misión, los elementos de la cultura, la complejidad del entorno y el estado de la tecnología determinan la configuración del modelo y los dispositivos de control necesarios para implementarlo, controlarlo y evaluarlo.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The complex context of current organizations requires flexibility to adapt to the changing environment and achieve the mission with a sustainable operation, which is closely associated with the management of them. The present work aims to make a precise and reflective approach to the nature and existing points of view about the management models and how they are developed or applied. Based on a brief historical account and the review of studies, the most important approaches and currents that have proved effective in management practice are identified, reviewing and explaining the main management models and their elements of applicability. Subsequently, the elements for the specific elaboration of a management model are specified to conclude that the particularities of the mission, the elements of the culture, the complexity of the environment and the state of the technology determine the configuration of the model and the necessary control devices for implement, control and evaluate it.]]></p></abstract>
