Specifically, five factors are chosen based on the Diffusion of Innovation theory in this study. The five factors are relative advantages, compatibility, complexity, trialability, observability. Using questionnaire survey on 175 SMEs, this study shows that out of the five factors, four factors namely, relative advantages, compatibility, trialability and observability significantly influence the adoption intention of e-wallet services. However, this study shows that complexity has no significant influence on the adoption intention of e-wallet services. The findings of this study offer financial institutions and application developers a deeper understanding on the factors that may influence on the adoption of e-wallet among SMEs and improve their market region and implementation of e-wallet services successfully in Malaysia.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Este estudio examina los factores que influyen en la intención de adopción de los servicios de billetera electrónica entre las pequeñas y medianas empresas (PYME) de la industria minorista. Específicamente, se eligen cinco factores basados &#8203;&#8203;en la teoría de Difusión de Innovación en este estudio. Los cinco factores son ventajas relativas, compatibilidad, complejidad, probabilidad y observabilidad. Utilizando una encuesta de cuestionario en 175 pymes, este estudio muestra que de los cinco factores, cuatro factores, a saber, las ventajas relativas, la compatibilidad, la capacidad de prueba y la observabilidad, influyen significativamente en la intención de adopción de los servicios de billetera electrónica. Sin embargo, este estudio muestra que la complejidad no tiene una influencia significativa en la intención de adopción de los servicios de billetera electrónica. Los hallazgos de este estudio ofrecen a las instituciones financieras y a los desarrolladores de aplicaciones una comprensión más profunda de los factores que pueden influir en la adopción de la billetera electrónica entre las PYME y mejorar su región de mercado y la implementación de los servicios de billetera electrónica con éxito en Malasia.]]></p></abstract>
