<self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2218-36202021000600194&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2218-36202021000600194&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2218-36202021000600194&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN La contingencia sanitaria originada por la COVID 19 ha representado para los profesionales de la salud importantes retos y desafíos respecto al desempeño de su labor debido a las situaciones complejas, los niveles de agotamiento y reacciones emocionales que experimentan frente a esta enfermedad, circunstancias bajo las cuales el compromiso y deber laboral se anteponen ante su propia seguridad personal. En este sentido, la presente investigación tiene como objetivo analizar el compromiso organizacional de profesionales de la salud ante la pandemia por COVID-19, puesto que es el personal adscrito a estos centros de trabajo los que mayor grado de vulnerabilidad presentan, impactando su estado psicológico y salud mental. El estudio se aborda bajo un enfoque cuantitativo, de alcance descriptivo, mediante la aplicación del cuestionario propuesto por Allen &amp; Meyer. La muestra de participación está conformada por 235 trabajadores del área médica, paramédica y administrativos de una institución de salud pública localizada en Tamaulipas, México. Como principales resultados se determina un alto compromiso organizacional por parte del personal encuestado, lo cual motiva la gestión de buenas prácticas laborales para corresponder a su compromiso con la organización ante las actuales condiciones en que realizan su función.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The health contingency caused by COVID 19 has represented important challenges and challenges for health professionals in the performance of their work due to the complex situations, levels of exhaustion and emotional reactions they experience in the face of this disease, circumstances under which Work commitment and duty take precedence over their own personal safety. In this sense, the present research aims to analyze the organizational commitment of health professionals in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, since it is the personnel assigned to these work centers who present the highest degree of vulnerability, impacting their psychological state and mental health. The study is approached under a quantitative approach, descriptive in scope, by applying the questionnaire proposed by Allen and Meyer. The participation sample is made up of 235 workers from the medical, paramedical, and administrative areas of a public health institution located in Tamaulipas, Mexico. The main results are a high organizational commitment on the part of the surveyed personnel, which motivates the management of good labor practices to correspond to their commitment to the organization in the current conditions in which they perform their function.]]></p></abstract>
