El objetivo del presente trabajo es establecer un procedimiento metodológico que facilite la conducción de las decisiones empresariales, técnicas, e inversionistas en proyectos locales, nuevos o de reconversión industrial y con generación y uso de biogás. La metodología tiene sus antecedentes en la gestión tecnológica, el análisis complejo de procesos y la adopción (asimilación) tecnológica y tiene un enfoque novedoso y heurístico. Se efectúa un diagnóstico integrado que conceptualiza el escenario inicial y se consideran las estrategias de desarrollo y el análisis técnico y económico de alternativas. El tamaño de los proyectos se define por sus demandas energéticas y disponibilidad de residuos atractivos para la digestión anaeróbica. El procedimiento facilita la definición de la demanda energética, el tipo y disponibilidad de sustratos, los pretratamientos, el diseño y el escalado, la cogeneración y el estudio de factibilidad y sensibilidad. La propuesta fue aplicada satisfactoriamente a un caso de estudio para la producción de harina de yuca, utilizando biogás generado con los residuales porcinos como opción energética para su secado.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Biogas technologies have reached a wide development, but the methodological conduction associated with pre-investment studies in local projects that use this energetic option has not been effective. The objective of the present work is to establish a methodological procedure that facilitates the conduction of business, technical and investment decisions in local projects, new or of industrial reconversion and with generation and use of biogas. The methodology has its antecedents in technological management, complex process analysis and technological adoption (assimilation) and has a novel and heuristic approach. An integrated diagnosis is carried out that conceptualizes the initial scenario and considers development strategies and the technical and economic analysis of alternatives. The size of the projects is defined by their energy demands and availability of attractive waste for anaerobic digestion. The procedure facilitates the definition of energy demand, type and availability of substrates, pretreatments, design and scale-up, cogeneration, and feasibility and sensitivity study. The proposal was successfully applied to a case study for the production of cassava flour, using biogas generated from swine waste as an energy option for drying.]]></p></abstract>
