En las empresas y fábricas, no se ha hecho pasar por alto; sin embargo, a través del tiempo, se ha hecho necesaria la renovación y/o actualización de equipos a gran escala, tanto en grandes negocios como en los pequeños comercios; así, se han creado los robots colaborativos, también conocidos como cobots, mismos que laboran con el fin de dar apoyo al ser humano en diversas tareas, sobre todo en actividades repetitivas. No se desacredita la actividad física del operario, pero, los cobots, trabajan bajo el control de aquellos y, entre los beneficios del proceso, se tiene la seguridad de quienes están inmersos en el entorno productivo. Las Pymes incrementan su rentabilidad gracias a estos equipos que a la vez no necesitan gran conocimiento en programación robótica ni requieren expertos técnicos profesionales, lo que sí requieren son personas con experiencia y capacidad de trabajo en correlación con la nueva tecnología, sumado a esto, el conocimiento de las funciones en diversas áreas de la producción. Por lo mencionado, el objetivo de esta investigación es establecer los beneficios de automatizar procesos de producción repetitivos con Robots Colaborativos en las PYMES de Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Robots, for some time have been presented as equipment or machines that have been part of this globalized world of technology. In companies and factories, it has not been overlooked; however, over time, it has become necessary to renew and/or update equipment on a large scale, both in large businesses and in small stores; thus, collaborative robots, also known as cobots, have been created, which work in order to support the human being in various tasks, especially in repetitive activities. The physical activity of the operator is not discredited, but the cobots work under the control of those and, among the benefits of the process, there is the safety of those who are immersed in the productive environment. SMEs increase their profitability thanks to these pieces of equipment that do not need great knowledge in robotic programming nor require professional technical experts, what they do require are people with experience and ability to work in correlation with the new technology, in addition to this, the knowledge of the functions in various areas of production. Therefore, the objective of this research is to establish the benefits of automating repetitive production processes with Collaborative Robots in SMEs in Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas.]]></p></abstract>
