Esta intensidad hace que se degraden rápidamente y se renueven en periodos cortos de tiempo. No obstante es posible monitorear el estado de estos si se disponen de métodos sencillos y económicos. El presente artículo tiene como objetivo mostrar una vía para el monitoreo de la degradación de los autos en flotas de arrendamiento a través del indicador disponibilidad como método de detección de aquellos cuya explotación es inaceptable por su impacto negativo en el resultado económico. Para ello se emplea la disponibilidad límite que representa el equilibrio entre los impactos favorables y desfavorables de la explotación de los autos en el resultad económico y se introduce la frontera entre operación y mantenimiento en la determinación de la prevalencia del tiempo inactivo y fuera de servicio en el impacto económico desfavorable. La aplicación a una flota ilustra las posibilidades de la propuesta en condiciones reales y se demuestra la viabilidad del método a pesar del corto tiempo de permanencia de los autos en la flota.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Cars in rental fleets are subjected to an intense work regime. This intensity causes them a quickly degradation and their renovations in short periods of time. However, it is possible to monitor their condition if simple and inexpensive methods are available. This paper aims to show a way to monitor de degradation of cars in rental fleets through the availability indicator as a method of detecting those whose exploitation is unacceptable due to its negative impact on the economic result. For this, the availability threshold, which represents the tradeoff between the favorable and unfavorable impacts of the operation of the cars on the economic result, is used and border between operation and maintenance is introduced in the determination of the prevalence of the idle time and out of service time in the unfavorable economic impact. The application to a fleet illustrate the possibilities of the proposal in real conditions and the feasibility of the method is demonstrated despite the short time of permanence of the cars in the fleet.]]></p></abstract>
