Para ello se partió de un estudio energético realizado en la instalación con el objetivo de identificar la demanda que se pretende satisfacer y se ejecutó el levantamiento constructivo de las edificaciones libres de sombra que pueden emplearse para el montaje de paneles fotovoltaicos considerando las dimensiones, orientación e inclinación de sus cubiertas, además se obtuvo la información meteorológica específica del territorio, necesaria para los cálculos de generación y su inclusión en el software especializado PVsyst. La simulación con el PVsyst evidenció que en el hotel existe un área disponible de cubiertas de edificaciones de 2 057.78 m2, superficie donde es posible instalar un total de 891 módulos fotovoltaicos del modelo DSM-270, con una capacidad de generación de 240.33 kWp y una generación anual real de 363.96 MWh/año. Dicha instalación fotovoltaica es capaz de cubrir en su totalidad la demanda energética del hotel en el horario diurno y de entregar al Sistema Eléctrico Nacional (SEN) un promedio 13.75 MWh/mes.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT In the present investigation, the calculation of the potentialities of photovoltaic generation is presented from the use of the roof surfaces of the buildings of the Hotel Punta la Cueva, Cienfuegos. For this, an energy study was carried out at the facility with the aim of identifying the demand that is intended to be satisfied, and the constructive survey of the shade-free buildings that can be used for the assembly of photovoltaic panels was carried out, considering the dimensions, orientation and slope of its roofs, in addition, the specific meteorological information of the territory was obtained, necessary for the generation calculations and its inclusion in the specialized PVsyst software. The simulation with the PVsyst showed that in the hotel there is an available building roof area of 2 057.78 m2, an area where it is possible to install a total of 891 photovoltaic modules of the DSM-270 model, with a generation capacity of 240.33 kWp and an actual annual generation of 363.96 MWh/year. This photovoltaic installation is capable of fully covering the hotel's energy demand during daytime hours and delivering an average of 13.75 MWh/month to the National Electric System (SEN).]]></p></abstract>
