<self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2218-36202023000200141&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2218-36202023000200141&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2218-36202023000200141&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Actualmente, los sistemas productivos se encuentran expuestos a diversos peligros climáticos que influyen en su vulnerabilidad, ya que los patrones climáticos como temperatura y precipitación presentan demasiada variabilidad que ocasiona sensibilidad en los cultivos, lo que sumado a una baja capacidad de adaptación de los productores debido a factores vinculados con el capital humano, social, cultural, financiero, físico y natural; incrementa el riesgo climático de los territorios; por lo cual, es clave poder identificar las opciones de adaptación producto de los análisis de riesgo y vulnerabilidad al cambio climático, para después analizar cuáles son los factores que influyen en dicho proceso de adaptación. De esta forma, la presente investigación se enfocó en definir los determinantes de la adaptación de prácticas de conservación de agua y suelo en el municipio de Rabinal, departamento de Baja Verapaz, y el municipio de San Agustín Acasaguastlán, departamento de El Progreso, Guatemala. Los resultados mostraron que la edad, pertenencia a un grupo étnico y ser amantes del riesgo disminuye las probabilidades de adaptación; mientras que la experiencia en agricultura, las capacitaciones, la confianza, el acceso al crédito y una alta percepción sobre los efectos negativos del clima la promueven.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Currently, the productive systems are exposed to several climatic hazards that influence their vulnerability since climatic patterns such as temperature and precipitation present too much variability that causes sensitivity in the crops, which added to a low adaptation capacity of the producers due to factors linked to human, social, cultural, financial, physical and natural capital; it increases the climatic risk of the territories; Therefore, it is critical to be able to identify the adaptation options resulting from the analysis of risk and vulnerability to climate change, in order to analyze later which are the factors that influence the adaptation process. In this regard, the present research focused on defining the determinants of the adaptation of water and soil conservation practices in the municipality of Rabinal, department of Baja Verapaz, and the municipality of San Agustín Acasaguastlán, department of El Progreso, Guatemala. The results showed that age, belonging to an ethnic group, and being risk lovers decrease the probabilities of adaptation, while experience in agriculture, training, confidence, access to credit, and a high perception of the adverse effects of the climate promote it.]]></p></abstract>
