<self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2218-36202023000300156&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2218-36202023000300156&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2218-36202023000300156&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN En la presente investigación se evalúa la factibilidad de implementar un sistema fotovoltaico en una vivienda familiar, sin embargo, no se conoce de estudios de experiencias de personas viviendo con esa tecnología (Fox, 2023) para el suministro de energía y agua caliente en Francisco a través del diseño del sistema eléctrico correspondiente, en una lotificación ubicada en las afueras de Tegucigalpa, Honduras, en el Municipio de San Antonio de Oriente, siempre en el Departamento de Francisco Morazán. Para definir el diseño eléctrico convencional se utilizó el Código Nacional Eléctrico de los Estados Unidos de América, y para el diseño fotovoltaico, se uso la metodología desarrollada en la asignatura de energía solar fotovoltaica y energía solar térmica del Máster en Energía Renovable. Para la evaluación de la factibilidad, se usaron las herramientas de la Ingeniería Económica a través del Valor Presente Neto (VPN), la Tasa Interna de Retorno (TIR), el Periodo de Recuperación (PR) y el Costo Capitalizado (CC), y se logró determinar que desde el punto de vista económico la inversión en la implantación en el sistema fotovoltaico, no es atractiva debido a los precios de los equipos y materiales requeridos, sin embargo, contribuye a la disminución de la factura por energía y coadyuva a disminuir los efectos del cambio climático. La instalación eléctrica fue diseñada considerando todas las normas de seguridad para que la conducción y uso de la energía eléctrica sea adecuada, la disposición de sistema fotovoltaico fue dimensionado para responder ante las cargas eléctricas por la iluminación y por el sistema de bombeo de agua de uso normal en los hogares para fines domésticos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT In the present investigation, the feasibility of implementing a photovoltaic system in a family home is evaluated, for the supply of energy and hot water in Francisco through the design of the corresponding electrical system, in a subdivision located on the outskirts of Tegucigalpa, Honduras, in the Municipality of San Antonio de Oriente, always in the Department of Francisco Morazán. To define the conventional electrical design, the National Electrical Code of the United States of America was used, and for the photovoltaic design, the methodology developed in the subject of photovoltaic solar energy and solar thermal energy of the Master in Renewable Energy was used. For the feasibility evaluation, the Economic Engineering tools were used through the Net Present Value (NPV), the Internal Rate of Return (IRR), the Recovery Period (PR) and the Capitalized Cost (CC), and It was possible to determine that from the economic point of view the investment in the implementation in the photovoltaic system is not attractive due to the prices of the equipment and materials required, however, it contributes to the reduction of the energy bill and helps to reduce the effects of climate change. The electrical installation was designed considering all safety regulations so that the conduction and use of electrical energy is adequate, the layout of the photovoltaic system was sized to respond to electrical charges for lighting and for the water pumping system for use. normal in homes for domestic purposes.]]></p></abstract>
