El objetivo de este estudio es caracterizar los factores que inciden en la procrastinación académica de los estudiantes del programa de Administración Financiera de la Universidad de la Amazonia, campus Florencia (Caquetá). La investigación es mixta, se utilizó herramientas de tipo cuantitativo y cualitativo. Los instrumentos aplicados fueron el PASS y la entrevista a 105 estudiantes matriculados en el programa de Administración Financiera durante el periodo 2019-2. Los principales resultados muestran que existe una elevada frecuencia de dilación, situación vinculada con las características propias del estudiante de la modalidad a distancia, se evidenció además que ante mayor postergación mayores niveles de ansiedad, provocando además un elevado deseo de cambio. El principal motivo para procrastinar es la ansiedad a la evaluación, por tal razón se deberían diseñar intervenciones de autorregulación como la exposición a los eventos que generan ansiedad.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The procrastination has become one of the current problems for the university students, which constitutes the tendency to delay the beginning or the finalization of important tasks until the point of the annoyance. The objective of this study is to characterize the factors that impact in the academic procrastination of the students of the program of Financial Administration of the University of the Amazonia, campus Florence (Caquetá). The investigation is mixed, it was used tools of quantitative and qualitative type. The applied instruments were the PASS and the interview to 105 students registered in the program of Financial Administration during the period 2019-2. The main results show that a high delay frequency, tied situation with the characteristics characteristic of the student exists from the modality to distance, it was also evidenced that before more postponement adult&#8217;s levels of anxiety, also causing a high desire of change. The main reason for to procrastinate is the anxiety to the evaluation, for such a reason self-regulation interventions like the exhibition should be designed to the events that generate anxiety.]]></p></abstract>
