Entre los objetivos planteados, estuvo diseñar y aplicar un instrumento para determinar el nivel de conocimientos de los docentes de educación básica para la creación de contenidos educativos digitales. La metodología utilizada se desarrolló en base a un enfoque mixto de investigación, combinada en métodos exploratorios, descriptivos e interpretativos; como técnicas de investigación se utilizó el criterio de expertos y el Alfa de Cronbach para medir la validez y confiabilidad del instrumento. Los resultados de este estudio permiten concluir que los docentes de educación básica en Ecuador aún poseen limitaciones en sus competencias digitales, referidas a la creación de contenidos educativos digitales. Se propone un modelo con cuatro áreas de competencias: informativas, comunicativas, informáticas básicas y de creación y actualización de contenidos. Se concluye con la necesidad de potenciar las competencias digitales de los docentes ecuatorianos, en especial aquellas relacionadas con la creación de contenidos educativos que fomenten el aprendizaje significativo, además la propuesta puede servir como punto de partida para favorecer la transformación digital de la educación en el país.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT This research was focused on the proposal of a model of digital competencies for the creation of educational content in basic education teachers in Ecuador. Among the objectives was to design and apply an instrument to determine the level of knowledge of basic education teachers for the creation of digital educational content. The methodology used was developed based on a mixed research approach, combined in exploratory, descriptive and interpretative methods; as research techniques, expert criteria and Cronbach's Alpha were used to measure the validity and reliability of the instrument. The results of this study allow concluding that basic education teachers in Ecuador still have limitations in their digital competencies, referred to the creation of digital educational content. A model with four areas of competencies is proposed: informative, communicative, basic computer skills and content creation and updating. It concludes with the need to enhance the digital competencies of Ecuadorian teachers, especially those related to the creation of educational content that promote meaningful learning, and the proposal can also serve as a starting point to promote the digital transformation of education in the country.]]></p></abstract>
