<self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2224-54212021000100117&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2224-54212021000100117&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2224-54212021000100117&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN En el presente trabajo se realiza la caracterización físico-química de las tobas zeolitizadas del yacimiento Caimanes, a través de Fluorescencia de Rayos X, análisis Termogravimétrico, Espectroscopia Infrarrojo con Trasformada de Furrier y en el caso de la Difracción de Rayos X se analiza el material natural y tratado térmicamente hasta 850ºC. De acuerdo al análisis químico, la zeolita de Caimanes se clasifica como cálcica, con un contenido de SiO2 de 62,12%, de Al2O3 de 13,32 % y de CaO de 5,25 %, formado mayoritariamente por la Heulandita, asociada con otras fases mineralógicas como el Cuarzo y la Calcita. Se determinó que la zeolita es térmicamente estable hasta los 400ºC. A temperaturas superiores se produce la descomposición total de la zeolita, pasando por distintos estados de transición hasta su descomposición final y la pérdida de cristalinidad, lo que podría ser apropiado para utilizarla como material puzolánico en la producción de cemento.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT In the present work, the physicochemical characterization of the zeolitized materials from the Caimanes deposit is carried out through X-Ray Fluorescence, Thermogravimetric analysis, Infrared Spectroscopy with Fourier Transform and in the case of X-Ray Diffraction, the analysis of natural and heat-treated material up to 850ºC is carried out. According to the chemical analysis, the Caimanes zeolite is classified as calcic, with a SiO2 content of 62,12%, Al2O3 of 13,32% and CaO of 5,25 %, formed mainly by Heulandite, associated with other mineralogical phases such as Quartz and Calcite. It was determined that the zeolite is thermally stable up to 400ºC. At higher temperatures, total decomposition of the zeolite occurs, passing through different transition states until its final decomposition and loss of crystallinity, which could be appropriate for use as a pozzolanic material in the production of cement.]]></p></abstract>
