Se tomaron muestras de residuales líquidos en dos puntos de la empresa, en el período entre enero y marzo del 2019. Los parámetros determinados fueron: concentración de metales pesados, grasas y aceites, pH, conductividad, DQO y DBO. Los resultados revelaron que los valores de la concentración de los metales pesados determinados estuvieron dentro de las normas cubanas para el vertimiento de residuales a las zonas costeras. El resto de los parámetros oscilaron entre valores por debajo y por encima de los límites establecidos por la norma cubana. Se concluye que en estos residuales existen compuestos orgánicos, elevados valores de DBO, DQO, grasas y aceites, y que la industria expulsa un residual con insuficiente tratamiento, resultando una fuente de contaminación a la Bahía.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The work describes the technological process of the Textile Combined Celia Sánchez Manduley and the composition of its residuals is evaluated, based on the determination of physical-chemical parameters that constitute pollution indicators. Liquid residual samples were taken at two points of the company, in the period between January and March 2019. The parameters determined were: concentration of heavy metals, fats and oils, pH, conductivity, DQO and DBO. The results revealed that the concentration values &#8203;&#8203;of the heavy metals determined were within the Cuban norms for the dumping of residuals to the coastal zones. The rest of the parameters oscillated between values &#8203;&#8203;below and above the limits established by the Cuban norm. It is concluded that in these residuals there are organic compounds, high values &#8203;&#8203;of DBO, DQO, fats and oils, and that the industry expels a residual with insufficient treatment, resulting in a source of contamination to the Bay.]]></p></abstract>
