El objetivo del presente trabajo fue utilizar el simulador de procesos Sugar para modelar y estudiar la etapa de molinos en la UEB Central Azucarero &#8220;Cristino Naranjo&#8221; de la provincia de Holguín en Cuba. El estudio realizado partió de un análisis de las restricciones presentes en el flujo tecnológico y los principales parámetros a tener en cuenta, para lograr obtener un ciclo productivo con la eficiencia y la productividad demandada. El empleo de este simulador en el proceso, permitió recrear las escenas de trabajo y ver la ocurrencia de fenómenos, el comportamiento de las variables del proceso y así trazar políticas para su solución. Se determinó que el punto crítico en el área de molinos es el agua de imbibición y se calculó que el flujo requerido de la misma es de 56 181,4 kg/h y su efecto en las corrientes de jugo mezclado y bagazo, permitiendo que se obtenga un ciclo productivo con las eficiencias y la productividad requerida.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ &#8226; ABSTRACT &#8226; Process simulation is a very useful tool for making scientific and responsible decisions. The objective of this work was to use the Sugar process simulator to model and study the mill stage in the &#8220;Cristino Naranjo&#8221; Central Sugar UEB of the Holguín province in Cuba. The study carried out was based on an analysis of the restrictions present in the technological flow and the main parameters to be taken into account, in order to achieve a productive cycle with the efficiency and productivity demanded. The use of this simulator in the process, allowed to recreate the work scenes and see the occurrence of phenomena, the behavior of the variables of the process and thus draw up policies for their solution. It was determined that the critical point in the mill area is the imbibition water and it was calculated that the required flow of it is 56 181.4 kg / h and its effect on the mixed juice and bagasse streams, allowing it to be obtained a productive cycle with the efficiencies and required productivity.]]></p></abstract>
