Una de las partes más aprovechables es la semilla debido a su contenido de aceite entre un 35 y 40 %. El objetivo del trabajo fue evaluar el proceso de obtención del aceite de Moringa oleifera mediante prensado hidráulico en frío en cuanto al rendimiento y las características fisicoquímicas, cuantificando las pérdidas. Para realizar el trabajo se utilizaron aproximadamente 100 kg de semillas de Moringa oleifera, conservadas en sacos de fibra de yute y 100 kg re-envasadas en sacos de fibras de nylon por sufrir deterioro. Se extrajo el aceite por prensado en frío, y se le determinó el perfil de ácidos grasos por cromatografía de gases. El valor de rendimiento, partiendo de las semillas conservadas en sacos de yute, en sacos de nylon y el control, fue de 22,99, 19,05 y 20,31%, respectivamente. El perfil de ácidos grasos mostró al ácido oleico como componente mayoritario, representando aproximadamente un 80 %, valor similar para las tres prensadas efectuadas de manera continua a las semillas, tanto conservadas en sacos de yute, como de nylon y el tipo de semilla. El procedimiento de prensado en frío mostró mayor rendimiento de aceite en las semillas conservadas en sacos de yute que las re-envasadas en nylon. El aceite conservó características de elevada calidad, que contiene mayoritariamente ácido oleico, por lo que puede utilizarse tanto con fines comestibles como cosméticos o para masajes corporal.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Moringa oleifera is a plant with a large number of therapeutic properties that enhance its use in the treatment of various diseases. One of the most usable parts is the seed due to its oil content between 35 and 40 %. The objective of these work was to evaluate the process of obtaining Moringa oleifera oil by cold hydraulic pressing in terms of performance and physicochemical characteristics, quantifying the losses. To carry out the work, approximately 100 kg of Moringa oleifera seeds were used, preserved in jute fiber bags and 100 kg repackaged in nylon fiber bags due to deterioration. The oil was extracted by cold pressing, and the fatty acid profile was determined by gas chromatography. The yield value, based on the seeds conserved in jute bags, in nylon bags and the control, was 22, 99, 19,05 and 20,31 %, respectively. The fatty acid profile showed oleic acid as the major component, representing approximately 80 %, a similar value for the three pressed continuously carried out on seeds, both preserved in jute bags, as well as in nylon and the type of seed. The cold pressing procedure showed higher oil yield in the seeds preserved in jute bags than those repackaged in nylon. The oil retained high quality characteristics, containing mostly oleic acid, so it can be used for both edible and cosmetic purposes or for body massage.]]></p></abstract>
