A partir de su biomasa se pueden extraer disimiles productos de interés biotecnológico utilizados principalmente en las industrias alimentaria, cosmética, farmacéutica, energética y en la agricultura. En este trabajo se evalúan las posibles aplicaciones de C. vulgaris en la agricultura a partir de una revisión sistemática. Se identifican 5304 artículos sobre el tema, publicados en 14 revistas relevantes, distribuidos en 16 temas y 43 subtemas, de ellos 15 temas constituyen tendencia en los últimos 3 años, entre los que se encuentran dos referidos a bioproductos de interés para la agricultura. Se demuestra la importancia de Chlorella vulgaris para la ciencia por su amplio espectro de aplicaciones, siendo relevante sus aplicaciones como biofertilizante y acondicionador de suelo, si bien las investigaciones se han limitado a pocos cultivos y su aplicación aún no representa un impacto significativo en diferentes contextos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT One of the most studied microalgae genus is Chlorella, and specifically the specie Chlorella vulgaris. Different products with biotechnological interest can be extracted from its biomass, used mainly in the fields of food, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, energetic and agricultural industries. In this work, the possible applications of C. vulgaris in agriculture are evaluated. It was identified a total of 5 304 articles which were published in 14 relevant journals, distributed in 16 subjects and 43 subtopics, of which 15 subjects are trend topics in the last 3 years, among which there are two referring to bioproducts of interest to agriculture. The importance of Chlorella vulgaris for science it was demonstrated due to its wide spectrum of applications, being relevant its applications as biofertilizer and soil conditioner, even when these researches has been limited to few crops and its application still does not represent a significant impact in different contexts.]]></p></abstract>
