Métodos: Se utilizaron métodos teóricos como el histórico-lógico, análisis y síntesis; en el orden práctico se desarrollaron cuestionarios para la valoración de percepciones, y herramientas de la estadística descriptiva e inferencial como el análisis factorial, estudios de centralidad de redes y se recurrió a la lógica difusa compensatoria para determinar los componentes del índice de resiliencia local. Principales resultados: Se realizó un análisis crítico de la literatura para identificar aspectos teórico-metodológicos sobre la resiliencia. Se logró la conceptualización de la resiliencia local y se propuso un conjunto de indicadores para su evaluación para el caso de los incendios forestales.  Conclusiones: La resiliencia local es un concepto multidimensional que toma en consideración capacidades y procesos, donde la robustez constituye una capacidad básica del sistema y el atributo que imbrica a la vulnerabilidad con la resiliencia. En correspondencia con lo anterior, el índice de resiliencia local propuesto se conforma por la resiliencia intrínseca -asociada a la robustez socioambiental- y la resiliencia específica. La lógica difusa compensatoria resulta una herramienta valiosa para poder evaluar indicadores compuestos por criterios de naturaleza tan diversa, como los que integran la resiliencia específica.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT  Aim: To determine the components of local resilience that permit its assessment in the occurrence of forest fires.  Methods: Theoretical methods like the historical-logical and analytical-synthetic were used, along with empirical methods, such as questionnaires to assess perceptions, and tools for descriptive and inferential statistics, like factorial analysis, network centrality studies, and compensatory fuzzy logic to determine the components of the local resilience index.  Main results: A critical analysis of the literature was performed to identify the theoretical-methodological aspects of resilience. The study conceptualized local resilience, and set a number of indicators for assessment in the occurrence of forest fires.  Conclusions: Local resilience is a multidimensional concept that considers capacities and processes, where robustness is a basic capacity of the system, and the attribute that articulates vulnerability and resilience. Consequently, the local resilience index suggested is made of intrinsic resilience -linked to socio-environmental strength- and specific resilience. Fuzzy logic is a valuable tool to assess indicators made of diverse criteria, such as the ones that form specific resilience.]]></p></abstract>
