<self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2308-30422022000200140&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2308-30422022000200140&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2308-30422022000200140&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen La carrera de Ingeniería en Automática de la Universidad Central &#8220;Marta Abreu&#8221; de Las Villas (UCLV) pertenece a la Facultad de Ingeniería Eléctrica (FIE) y gradúa anualmente alrededor de 30 jóvenes profesionales de la región central de Cuba, fundamentalmente entre Villa Clara y Camagüey. A pesar de la buena preparación que demuestran en los centros laborales donde son ubicados, muchos de ellos no desarrollan todo su potencial durante su etapa estudiantil. Esta problemática ha sido identificada por un grupo de profesores de la especialidad, quienes desarrollaron un proyecto sectorial para intentar revertirla. El presente artículo describe la experiencia de una de las líneas de trabajo: el Aprendizaje Orientado a Proyectos (AOP). Su objetivo fue evaluar AOP, en grupos reducidos de estudiantes, como medio para incentivar su interés por el estudio. Los resultados alcanzados, aunque sesgados por la pandemia, demuestran la buena acogida de la metodología.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Every year young professionals from the central region of Cuba, mainly between Villa Clara and Camagüey, finish their studies of Automation Engineering at the Universidad Central "Marta Abreu" de Las Villas (UCLV). In spite of the good preparation they show in the places where they start working, many of them do not develop their full potential during their student stage. This problem has been identified by a group of professors of the specialty at the UCLV, developed a sectorial project to try to revert that issue. This paper describes the experience of one of the working area work: Project-Based Learning (PBL). Its objective was to evaluate PBL, in small groups of students, as a means of stimulating their interest in studying. The results achieved, although biased by the pandemic, demonstrate the good acceptance of the methodology.]]></p></abstract>
