<self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S0253-570X2019000200005&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S0253-570X2019000200005&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S0253-570X2019000200005&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo detectar puntos de la superficie corporal de caballos (Equus caballus) donde los parámetros morfológicos y de polaridad de las ondas electrocardiográficas manifiesten un comportamiento estable, como base para el diagnóstico clínico de las alteraciones del sistema cardiovascular. Se utilizaron 18 animales de ambos sexos, con un peso corporal promedio de 450 kg, entre 5 y 6 años de edad, en un estado de salud adecuado y con una correcta alimentación. Se distribuyeron de la siguiente forma, según la raza: a) 10 pura raza español, b) 2 árabes, c) 2 mestizos, d) 4 Quarter horse. El muestreo se realizó en horarios tempranos de la mañana en julio de 2016. Se obtuvo que las ondas en las derivaciones bipolares de las extremidades son muy variables y en las monopolares aumentadas de miembro aVR, aVL y aVF, por lo que no tienen utilidad para el diagnóstico de las alteraciones electrocardiográficas que no estén relacionadas con arritmias. Se emplearon derivaciones monopolares que resultaron estables, como las que se registraron con los electrodos de V1, de V5 y de V6. Se concluye que existen puntos precordiales donde se obtienen registros electrocardiográficos con pocas variaciones en la polaridad y la morfología de las ondas P y T y del complejo QRS, que constituyen una referencia de gran utilidad para detectar otras lesiones del sistema excitoconductor cardíaco, además de las que producen arritmias.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT This research is aimed at detecting points on the body surface of horses (Equus caballus), where the morphological and polarity parameters of electrocardiographic waves show a stable behavior, as a basis for the clinical diagnosis of cardiovascular system disorders. Eighteen animals of both sexes were used, with an average body weight of 450 kg, between 5 and 6 years of age, in an adequate state of health and with proper nutrition. They were distributed as follows according to race: a) 10 purebred Spanish, b) 2 Arabs, c) 2 mestizos, d) 4 Quarter horse. Sampling was carried out early in the morning in July 2016. As a result, it was obtained that the waves in the bipolar leads of the limbs are very variable, also in those monopolar leads with augmented limbs aVR, aVL and aVF, reason why they are not useful for the diagnosis of electrocardiographic abnormalities not related to arrhythmias. Stable monopolar leads, such as those recorded with the electrodes V1, V5 and V6, were used. It is concluded that there are precordial points where electrocardiographic records are obtained with few variations in the polarity and morphology of the P and T waves and the QRS complex. It is a very useful reference to detect other lesions of the cardiac excitoconductive system, besides those causing arrhythmias.]]></p></abstract>
