<self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S0253-57852021000300025&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S0253-57852021000300025&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S0253-57852021000300025&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN El quitosano es un biopolímero natural que se extrae de los exoesqueletos de los crustáceos, sin embargo, tiene diferentes aplicaciones a nivel industrial, en el campo agrícola se utiliza para mejorar la nutrición y el rendimiento de los cultivos, también para liberar a las plantas de estreses que son causados por el medio ambiente. El objetivo de esta investigación fue evaluar el efecto del quitosano sobre el crecimiento y la productividad de Solanum lycopersicum L. Se emplearon cuatro tratamientos, que consistieron en tres dosis de quitosano (100, 500 y 1000 mg L-1) y un tratamiento control, donde las plantas se asperjaron a los 15 y 30 DDT, empleándose un diseño de bloques completamente al azar, con cuatro repeticiones. Se realizaron análisis de varianza y comparaciones independientes de medias Tukey. Los resultados evidencian que la dosis alta (1000 mg L-1) estimuló los valores altura de la planta, diámetro del tallo, número racimos/planta, número de frutos/planta, diámetro ecuatorial y polar de los frutos, peso del fruto, así como el rendimiento en plantas de tomate.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Chitosan is a natural biopolymer that is extracted from the exoskeletons of crustaceans, however, it has different applications at an industrial level, in the agricultural field it is used to improve nutrition and crop yield, also to free plants from stresses that are caused by the environment. The objective of this research was to evaluate the effect of chitosan on the growth and productivity of Solanum lycopersicum L. Four treatments were used, which consisted of three doses of chitosan (100, 500 and 1000 mg L-1) and a control treatment, where the plants were sprayed at 15 and 30 DAT, using a completely randomized block design, with four repetitions. Analysis of variance and independent comparisons of Tukey means were performed. The results show that the high dose (1000 mg L-1) stimulated the values &#8203;&#8203;of plant height, stem diameter, number of bunches /plant, number of fruits / plant, equatorial and polar diameter of fruits, fruit weight, as well as the yield in tomato plants.]]></p></abstract>
