<self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S0258-59362019000200005&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S0258-59362019000200005&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S0258-59362019000200005&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Los estudios fisiológicos relacionados con la simbiosis micorrízica se dificultan considerablemente debido a la condición de simbiontes obligados que caracteriza a los hongos que intervienen en la asociación, lo cual, hasta el momento, hace imposible su crecimiento en condiciones axénicas. Sin embargo, el empleo del cultivo de raíces in vitro como un sistema simplificado para establecer la simbiosis micorrízica arbuscular, ha sido muy utilizado y particularmente útil en numerosas investigaciones. El objetivo del presente estudio fue obtener esporas desinfectadas de Rhizoglomus sp. (INCAM-11) provenientes de suelo, que expresen altos porcentajes de germinación y bajos niveles de contaminación en condiciones in vitro y determinar el periodo de crecimiento de la hifa de germinación. Para ello se desinfectaron propágulos de la cepa INCAM-11 y se evaluaron sus porcentajes de germinación, contaminación y el crecimiento del tubo germinativo. Se demostró que el tiempo de permanencia de las esporas en solución antibiótica durante 24 horas, antes de su inoculación en medio de cultivo Strullu y Romand modificado (SRM), disminuye los porcentajes de contaminación y la germinación se adelanta de dos a cuatro días. Las hifas de germinación se extendieron en el medio de cultivo durante aproximadamente 30 días de forma independiente antes de detener su crecimiento, contribuyendo al posterior establecimiento de la asociación con las raíces transformadas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The physiological studies related to the mycorrhizal symbiosis have made difficult due to the condition of the symbionts that are characterized by the fungi that intervene in the association, which, up to now, can&#8217;t grow in axenic conditions. However, in vitro root cultivation techniques, as a simplified system for the establishment of the arbuscular mycorrhizal symbiosis, have been widely used and they are very important in several investigations. The aim of this study was to obtain disinfected spores of Rhizoglomus sp. (INCAM-11) from soil, which express high percentages of germination and low levels of contamination on in vitro conditions and determine the growth period of the germination hyphae. INCAM-11 propagules were disinfected and their percentages of germination and contamination, as well as the germinative tube length were evaluated. Results show that the immersion time of spores in antibiotic solution during 24 hours, before its inoculation in the Modified Strulla and Romand (MSR) medium, can reduces the contamination percentage and the moment of germination. In the other hand, the hyphae germination spreads in the culture medium during 30 days approximately, before stopping their growth, contributing to the later establishment of the association in the transformed roots.]]></p></abstract>
