Las oligosacarinas, componentes estructurales de la pared celular de plantas y microorganismos, ejercen efectos en el crecimiento y desarrollo, entre ellas están la quitosana y sus derivados. El presente trabajo se desarrolló entre el período comprendido de junio a septiembre de 2017, sobre un suelo Ferralítico Rojo típico, en una casa de cultivo protegido, utilizando como material vegetal el híbrido CADDO, con el objetivo general de evaluar la influencia de los momentos de aplicación del Quitomax®, en el crecimiento, desarrollo, rendimiento agrícola y presencia de Alternaria solani Sor., en el cultivo de tomate bajo condiciones protegidas. Los resultados mostraron un efecto positivo del producto, donde la imbibición de las semillas en Quitomax® combinada con la aspersión foliar de 300 mg ha-1 del producto a los 7, 15 y 30 días después del trasplante, influyó positivamente en la altura, diámetro y número de hojas de las plantas; así como, incrementó el rendimiento agrícola en un 18 % con respecto al tratamiento control. Las plantas con aplicación de Quitomax® fueron más tolerantes a la presencia de Alternaria solani Sor.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Biostimulant products exert various beneficial effects on plants, such as the induction of defensive mechanisms and stimulation of plant growth, in addition to having the advantage of not being harmful to the flora or to the environment. Oligosacarins, structural components of the cell wall of plants and microorganisms, exert effects on growth and development, among which are chitosan and its derivatives. The present work was developed between the period June to September 2017, on a typical Red Ferralitic soil, in a protected cultivation house, using the CADDO hybrid as plant material, with the general objective of evaluating the influence of the moments of application of Quitomax®, on growth, development, agricultural yield and presence of Alternaria solani Sor., on tomato crop under protected conditions. The results showed a positive effect of the product, where seeds imbibition of the in Quitomax® combined with the foliar spray of 300 mg ha-1 of the product at 7, 15 and 30 days after the transplant, positively influenced the height, diameter and number of leaves of the plants; as well as, increased agricultural yield by 18 % with respect to control treatment. The plants with Quitomax® application were more tolerant to the presence of Alternaria solani Sor.]]></p></abstract>
