El objetivo fue evaluar la variabilidad del rendimiento en cultivares de frijol y su relación con variables meteorológicas, según fecha de siembra. Se utilizaron seis cultivares de frijol (Holguin 518, Tazumal, Tomeguin 93, Bat 304, Bat 832 y Cuba Cueto 25-9), los cuales se sembraron en cuatro fechas de siembra (octubre 2010, diciembre 2011, enero 2012 y octubre 2012), sobre un suelo Hidromórfico Gley Nodular Ferruginoso Petroférrico. Se utilizó un diseño experimental de bloques al azar con tres réplicas y se evaluó el rendimiento agrícola y sus principales componentes; además, de variables meteorológicas (temperaturas, radiación solar, humedad relativa), en diferentes etapas fenológicas del cultivo. A partir de los resultados es posible concluir que, el rendimiento se relaciona de manera positiva con la temperatura del aire en la fase de crecimiento desde emergencia hasta floración y de manera negativa, durante la fase de floración a cosecha, aspecto asociado a posibles cambios en la disponibilidad de asimilados. Los cultivares en estudio requieren un rango de calor acumulado para completar su ciclo biológico que oscila entre 900 y 1350 °C, aproximadamente.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The research was carried out in areas of the Scientific Technological Base Unit "Los Palacios", Pinar del Río, belonging to the National Institute of Agricultural Sciences (INCA). The objective was to evaluate the variability of the yield in bean cultivars and its relationship with meteorological variables, according to sowing date. Six bean cultivars were used (Holguin 518, Tazumal, Tomeguin 93, Bat 304, Bat 832 and Cuba Cueto 25-9), which were planted on four sowing dates (October 2010, December 2011, January 2012 and October 2012), on a Hydromorphic Gley Nodular Ferruginous Petroferric soil. An experimental design of random blocks with three replications was used and the agricultural yield and its main components were evaluated; in addition, meteorological variables (temperatures, solar radiation, relative humidity), in different phenological stages of the crop. From the results it is possible to conclude that the yield is positively related to the air temperature in the growth phase from emergence to flowering and negatively, during the flowering to harvest phase, an aspect associated with possible changes in the availability of assimilates. The cultivars under study require a range of accumulated heat to complete their life cycle that ranges from 900 to 1350 °C, approximately.]]></p></abstract>
