Dentre as tecnologias educativas destaca-se o mapa de conversação que possibilita a abordagem dialógica por meio de imagens.  Objetivo:  Apresentar a construção de uma tecnologia educativa do tipo mapa de conversação sobre os cuidados com o recém-nascido para gestantes e puérperas.  Métodos:  Estudo metodológico realizado em quatro fases: diagnóstico situacional; revisão da literatura; desenvolvimento de textos, ilustrações, diagramação e avaliação do Índice de Facilidade de Leitura de Flesch, entre 2014 e 2015, em uma Unidade de Extensão da Universidade Federal do Ceará. Os textos dispostos nos cartões foram avaliados pelo programa de análise de textos do próprio Microsoft Office Word. Para a análise das informações qualitativas os depoimentos foram agrupados a fim de facilitar a sua codificação.  Resultados: O Mapa apresenta quatro cenas que ilustram o modo de vida das mães: 1) sentimentos da gestante 2) cuidados com recém-nascido envolvendo vacinação e triagem neonatal, 3) lavagem das mãos e 4) prevenção da morte súbita do lactente. Neste estudo, estabeleceu-se um Índice de Facilidade de Leitura de Flesch acima de 80 % como aceitável o que permitiu classificar a leitura do texto como fácil para a população em geral. O estudo valorizou as experiências e valores das gestantes durante a construção do mapa, condição essencial para o empowerment da comunidade.  Conclusões:  O mapa de conversação facilita a compreensão das mães acerca dos assuntos abordados, de forma lúdica e pedagógica, contribuindo para a prática adequada destes nos serviços de saúde.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN  Introducción:  Las prácticas de educación en salud con mujeres embarazadas deben ser estimuladas desde la etapa prenatal, con apoyo de materiales educativos que favorezcan los cuidados del binomio madre e hijo. Entre las tecnologías educativas, se destaca el mapa de conversación, que posibilita el abordaje dialógico por medio de imágenes.  Objetivo: Presentar la construcción de una tecnología educativa del tipo mapa de conversación sobre los cuidados con el recién nacido para mujeres embarazadas y puérperas.  Métodos: Estudio metodológico realizado en cuatro fases: diagnóstico situacional; repaso de la literatura; desarrollo de textos, ilustraciones, diagramación y evaluación del Índice de Facilidad de Lectura de Flesch, entre 2014 y 2015 en una Unidad de Extensión de la Universidad Federal de Ceará. Los textos dispuestos en las tarjetas fueron evaluados por el programa de análisis de textos del propio Microsoft Office Word. Para el análisis de las informaciones cualitativas, los testimonios fueron agrupados a fin de facilitar su codificación.  Resultados: El mapa de conversación presenta cuatro grandes escenas que ilustran el modo de vida de las madres del estudio: 1) sentimientos de la gestante al descubrirse embarazada, 2) cuidados con recién nacido que implican la vacunación y el tamizaje neonatal, 3) el lavado de manos y 4) prevención de la muerte súbita del lactante. El Índice de Facilidad de Lectura de Flesch fue por encima de 80 %, lo que evidencia fácil nivel de lectura para la población en general. El estudio valorizó las experiencias y valores de las mujeres embarazadas durante la construcción del mapa de conversación, condición esencial para el empoderamiento.  Conclusión: El mapa de conversación facilita la comprensión de las madres acerca de los temas tratados, de manera lúdica y pedagógica, y contribuye para la práctica adecuada de estas en los servicios de salud.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT  Introduction:  Health education practices developed with pregnant women should be stimulated from the prenatal stage, with the support of educational materials that favor the care of the mother-child binomial. Among the educational technologies, the conversation map stands out, which enables dialogic approach through images.  Objective:  To build a conversation map for pregnant and postpartum women about newborn care.  Methods:  Methodological study conducted in four phases: situational diagnosis; literature review; development of texts, illustrations and layout; and evaluation of the Flesch Reading Ease Index, between 2014 and 2015 in an Extension Unit of the Federal University of Ceará. The texts placed on the cards were evaluated by the text analysis program itself Microsoft Office Word. The testimonies were grouped to facilitate coding and develop the analysis of qualitative information.  Results:  The conversation map presents four great scenes that illustrate the way of life of the mothers in the study: 1) feelings of the pregnant woman when she discovered herself pregnant, 2) care with newborn babies, which involve vaccination and neonatal screening, 3) hand-washing, and 4) prevention of sudden infant death. The Flesch Reading Ease Index was above 80%, which shows easy reading level for the general population. The study assessed the experiences and values &#8203;&#8203;of pregnant women during the construction of the conversation map, an essential condition for empowerment.  Conclusion:  The conversation map provides mothers with an understanding of the topics treated in a playful and pedagogical way and, in addition, contributes to the proper practice of health services.]]></p></abstract>
