En el presente trabajo se presenta la evaluación de la propuesta para condiciones de clima marítimo extremo, aplicando un tren de modelos numéricos acoplados sobre mallas de alta resolución heterogéneas, ADCIRC + SWAN + XBeach. Se realiza un análisis de las variables hidrodinámica, del comportamiento morfológico del vertimiento de arena. Se demuestra que la solución propuesta no es efectiva para mantener la playa en condiciones de explotación turística.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABTRACT The Varadero beach is a tourism place one of the most famous in Cuba. For the Oasis sector has been design and artificial beach compose for several submerged breakwater parallel to the coast, and an initial sand supply project. It this paper is presented the evaluation of the project applying a train of numerical model coupling ADCIRC + SWAN + Xbeach. It was analyzed the hydrodynamics and wave variables. The morphological behavior of the initial nourishment was evaluated. The results of the study show the proposal is not effective, the losses of sand and the reshape of the beach for climate condition studied do not meet the tourism demands.]]></p></abstract>
