Este presupuesto condujo a ofrecer un cuerpo de sugerencias para la utilización de los textos martianos en las clases de lectura de la asignatura Práctica Integral de la Lengua Inglesa en la carrera de Licenciatura en Educación, Lenguas Extranjeras Inglés, para fortalecer los valores en los estudiantes en formación. Se brindaron concepciones teóricas contemporáneas sobre la habilidad lectora. Los métodos empíricos y teóricos utilizados: análisis-síntesis, inducción-deducción, revisión documental, así como la observación participante, revelaron la factibilidad y aplicabilidad de la propuesta, la cual puede serutilizada en otros contextos de aprendizaje.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The formation of values represents an element of great importance in the educational work of today&#8217;s youth; thus, the theme being addressed is an essential part of higher education, in order to promote the development of appropriate beliefs and behaviors in the future professionals. This idea led to the development of several recommendations on how to use Martí´s writings in the reading lessons of the subject Integrated Practice of the English Language in the major Bachelor in Education, Foreign Languages: English, in order to strengthen the values of the students in training. Moreover, modern theoretical concepts regarding the reading ability were also given. Theoretical and empirical methods such as: analysis-synthesis, induction-deduction, document review, as well as participant observation were used; these combined with the authors&#8217; experience, revealed the feasibility and applicability of the proposal, which can be used in other contexts of learning.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo A formação de valores constitui um elemento de grande importância no trabalho educativo dos jovens de hoje; assim, o tema abordado constitui parte essencial da formação superior, a fim de favorecer o desenvolvimento de convicções e condutas adequadas nos futuros profissionais. Este resuposto deu origem ao objetivo do presente trabalho, que visa oferecer um corpo de sugestões para o uso dos textos de Marti nas aulas de leitura da disciplina de Prática Integral da Língua Inglesa no Bacharelado em Pedagogia, Línguas Estrangeiras Inglês, para Fortalecer valores nos alunos em formação. Na obra, também foram oferecidas concepções teóricas contemporâneas sobre a capacidade de leitura. Os métodos empíricos e teóricos utilizados: análise-síntese, indução-dedução, revisão documental, bem como a observação participante, juntamente com a experiência dos autores, revelaram a viabilidade e aplicabilidade da proposta, que pode ser utilizada em outros contextos de pesquisa e aprendizagem.]]></p></abstract>
