El presente trabajo se centra en la aplicación de técnicas de procesamiento digital de señales sobre plataforma FPGA (del inglés Field Programmable Gate Array) para la estimación de la posición angular de fuentes de emisión de señales utilizando monopulso. Se muestra el diseño e implementación de los bloques de procesamiento para determinar la dirección de las fuentes a partir de los canales suma y diferencia resultantes de la antena. Es realizada sobre la plataforma de simulación multidominio Simulink y posteriormente exportado a lenguaje de descripción de hardware para su implementación en un FPGA. En la obtención de la curva de error son empleados modelos de aproximación polinomiales. El sistema diseñado se verifica con un arreglo lineal compuesto por ocho antenas con formación digital del diagrama de radiación.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The tracking of radiofrequency signals emission source that use directive antennas constitutes a trend in the modern telecommunication systems. The present investigation is based in the application of digital signal processing techniques in FPGA to estimate the angular position of the signal emission source using monopulse. The paper shows design and implementation of processing blocks to determinate source direction from sum and difference resulting channels of the antenna. The system is done by multidomain simulation platform Simulink and exported to hardware description language for implementation in FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array). In the obtaining of error curve are used polynomial approximation models. The developed system is verified through eight elements antennas array with digital beamforming.]]></p></abstract>
