En el caso de las clases de inglés como lengua extranjera, este control tiende a ser un juicio subjetivo del observador, porque se carece de una guía de observación homogénea en cada institución con los indicadores a controlar claramente definidos. El objetivo del presente artículo es socializar la experiencia del Centro de Idiomas de la Universidad de Matanzas (CID-UM) en la superación de sus docentes en formación desde el puesto de trabajo, haciendo énfasis en la utilización del control a las clases como un recurso, no sólo de evaluación, sino también de superación. Esto se ha logrado a través de la concatenación del sistema de trabajo metodológico con la utilización de una guía de observación de clases novedosa, diseñada y validada por los autores y que es el resultado de su experiencia profesional, no solo como profesores de inglés durante muchos años, sino como directivos de colectivos metodológicos de departamentos, carreras y/o asignaturas y que les permite el eficaz y eficiente control y preparación de los docentes en formación.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Classroom observation is part of the methodological work system developed in Cuban universities. In the case of English as a foreign language classes, this control tends to be a subjective judgment of the observer because of the lack of a homogeneous observation guide in every university with a clearly defined observation criterion. The objective of this article is to socialize the experience of the Language Center of the University of Matanzas in the training of in-service teachers (INSET), emphasizing on the use of a new class observation guide as a resource not only for evaluation, but mainly for their improvement. This has been achieved through the concatenation of the methodological work system, with the use of a new classroom observation guide. This guide was designed and validated by the authors, and it is the result of their professional experience, not only as English teachers, but also as head of departments, degree courses, and subject groups that have developed an effective and efficient work in the control and training of in-service teachers.]]></p></abstract>
