In the present investigation, the dynamic load coefficients are determined and a structural evaluation is carried out on an agricultural trailer axle, subjected to a static vertical load of 20 kN. The energy method was used to determine the dynamic load coefficients and the simulation by the finite element method was performed to determine static stresses and deformations. Applying this method, the structural evaluation of the agricultural trailer axle subjected to impact loads was achieved, with a low computational requirement. For a free fall height of the trailer of 200 mm, with a load of 20 kN on each axle, if the wheels were rigid, an excessively high dynamic load coefficient would occur. It would cause exceeding the elastic limit of the axis material more than five times, while an impact height of that same level, can be damped by the tires, without using other damping means (springs), with a safety coefficient of 2.5.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Los coeficientes de cargas dinámicas permiten obtener, con un grado de exactitud aceptable, los estados tensionales y deformacionales en piezas y estructuras sometidas a cargas dinámicas. En la presente investigación, se determinan los coeficientes de cargas dinámicas y se realiza una evaluación estructural a un eje de remolque agrícola, sometido a una carga vertical estática de 20 kN, empleando una combinación del método de energía para la determinación de coeficientes de cargas dinámicas y la simulación por el método de los elementos finitos para determinar las tensiones y deformaciones estáticas. Aplicando este método, se logró la evaluación estructural del eje de remolque agrícola sometido a cargas de impacto, con un bajo requerimiento computacional. Para una altura de caída libre del remolque de 200 mm, con una carga de 20 kN sobre cada eje, si las ruedas fueran rígidas se produciría un coeficiente de cargas dinámicas excesivamente alto, provocando exceder en más de cinco veces el límite elástico del material del eje, mientras que una altura del impacto de ese mismo nivel, puede ser amortiguada por los neumáticos, sin necesidad de emplear otros medios de amortiguación (ballestas o resortes), con un coeficiente de seguridad de 2,5.]]></p></abstract>
