For the fulfillment of the proposed objective, the theoretical-methodological bases referring to the subject were established and the pertinent computer tools were used for this purpose. Among the main results obtained, it was evident that the theoretical-methodological foundations proposed made it possible to establish the design parameters for an industrial grain dryer. On the other hand, with the use of SolidWorks, MATHCAD 2000 Professional and Termotransf computer tools, the thermal and kinetic modeling of the conceived design were carried out, as well as the determination of the main design parameters and the selection of component parts. It was also obtained that the total heat to be generated inside the proposed drying installation amounts to 28.75 kW with an efficiency of 89.2%, which demonstrates its functionality. From the economic point of view, the proposed design reaches an amount of 10 450.25 total currencies (5 861.40 CUC and 4 588.86 CUP), which represents only 34.8% of the minimum price of similar facilities in the international market.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN La presente investigación se orientó en establecer los fundamentos para el diseño de un secador industrial de granos. Para el cumplimiento del objetivo propuesto se establecieron las bases teórico-metodológicas referentes a la temática y se utilizaron las herramientas informáticas pertinentes para tal fin. Entre los principales resultados obtenidos se evidenció que los fundamentos teórico-metodológicos planteados posibilitaron establecer los parámetros de diseño para un secador industrial de granos. Por otro lado, con el empleo de las herramientas informáticas SolidWorks, MATHCAD 2000 Profesional y Termotransf, se realizaron la modelación térmica y cinética del diseño concebido, así como la determinación de los principales parámetros de diseño y selección de partes componentes. Entre los principales resultados se obtuvo que el calor total a generarse en el interior de la instalación de secado propuesta, asciende a 28,75 kW con una eficiencia de 89,2%, lo que demuestra la funcionabilidad del mismo y desde el punto de vista económico, el diseño propuesto alcanza un monto de 10 450,25 Moneda Total (5 861,40 CUC y 4 588,86 CUP), representado solo el 34,8% del precio mínimo de instalaciones similares en el mercado internacional.]]></p></abstract>
