For this reason, this work was intended to estimate the crop yield of irrigated rice varieties based on different climatic variables. Crop yield data were taken from experimental trials conducted by the Grains Territorial Research Station Sur del Jíbaro (belonging to the Grain Research Institute). Further, in the grain ripening phenophase, data on climatic variables were collected: air temperature (maximum, minimum, average) and relative humidity. The statistical processing was executed in the SPSS software version 21 on Windows by means of the multiple linear regression analysis (stepwise method) and once the regression equations were obtained, the estimation of the crop yield by interpolation was executed. The results showed that the variables air temperature and relative humidity have a significant effect on the crop yield of rice in Cuba and with the increase in the temperature by 1 ° C of the maximum and minimum temperature, there are effects that range between 4% and 11% in rice crop yield.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN La definición de modelos de regresión para la estimación de la productividad del arroz irrigado surge del análisis de la relación existente entre la disminución de los rendimientos del cultivo del arroz (Oryza sativa L) y las variables climáticas en determinados períodos fijos del crecimiento. Por tal motivo, este trabajo tuvo la finalidad de estimar el rendimiento agrícola de variedades de arroz de riego en función de diferentes variables climáticas. Se tomaron los datos del rendimiento agrícola procedentes de ensayos experimentales conducidos por la Estación Territorial de Investigaciones de Granos Sur del Jíbaro (perteneciente al Instituto de Investigaciones de Granos). Además, en la fenofase de maduración del grano, se recopilaron los datos de las variables climáticas: temperatura del aire (máxima, mínima, media) y humedad relativa. El procesamiento estadístico se ejecutó en el software SPSS versión 21 sobre Windows mediante un análisis de la regresión lineal múltiple (método paso a paso) y una vez obtenidas las ecuaciones de regresión, se ejecutó la estimación del rendimiento agrícola por interpolación. Los resultados manifestaron que las variables temperatura del aire y humedad relativa tienen efecto significativo en el rendimiento agrícola del arroz en Cuba y con el incremento de la temperatura en 1 °C de la temperatura máxima y mínima, se producen afectaciones que oscilan entre el 4 % y 11 % en el rendimiento agrícola del arroz.]]></p></abstract>
