The statistics mean or total value (according to the indicator) per year and climatic season (rainy and dry season), standard deviation, variance and coefficient of variation were determined, and linear regression equation was fitted between climatic indicators and decades. The number of days with rain decreased from 93.7 in the decade 1970-1979 to 81.1 in the period 2000-2009, with standard deviation, variance and coefficient of variation of 5.73, 32.78 and 9.59 %, respectively as well as r = -0.97 (P &lt; 0.0001). Total rainfall decreased from 1,459.6 mm in the decade 1970-1979 up to 1,327.6 mm in the 2000-2009 stage, with standard deviation, variance and coefficient of variation of 30.49, 929.42 and 2.79 %, respectively as well as r = -0.87 (P &lt;0.0001). The number of days with maximum temperature higher than 27 °C increased from 222.9 in the decade1970-1979 up to 279.6 in the period 2000-2009, with standard deviation, variance and coefficient of variation of 15.25, 232.70 and 10.32 %, respectively as well as r=0.99 (P &lt;0.0001). The number of days with minimum temperature less than 15 °C decreased from 57.4 in the decade 1970-1979 up to 43.9 in the period 2000-2009, with standard deviation, variance and coefficient of variation of 7.33, 53.72 and 14.59%, respectively as well as r=-0.92 (P &lt;0.0001). The maximum temperature increased from 29.6 °C in the decade 1970-1979 up to 30.8 °C in the period 2000-2009, with standard deviation, variance and coefficient of variation of 0.60, 0.06 and 1.88 %, respectively as well as r = 0.95 (P &lt;0.0001). The minimum temperature increased from 20.4 °C in the decade 1970-1979 to 23.4 °C in the period 2000-2009, with standard deviation, variance and coefficient of variation of 1.31, 1.71 and 6.09%, respectively as well as r = 0.95 (P &lt;0.0001). Mean temperature increased from 23.8 °C in the decade 1970-1979 to 26.7 °C in the period 2000-2009, with standard deviation, variance and coefficient of variation of 0.66, 0.64 and 2.50 %, respectively as well as r = 0.92 (P &lt;0.0001). During dry and rainy season, indicators had similar performance, but with specific values for each one of them. When applying these results in Cenchrus purpureus, there was a decrease in yield and an increase in height when comparing the decade 1979 versus 2010. The profile of indicators studied in 40 years (baseline) is available and compared with what happened in the period 2010 -2013. Variability of indicators by decade and climate season is known. The presence of climate change is appreciated. There are databases that allow to establish longer-term prediction models and their impact on forage biomass production.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Se estudió el comportamiento de algunos indicadores del clima (lluvia total, número de días con lluvia, temperaturas mínima, máxima y media, temperatura mínima menor de 15 °C y temperatura máxima mayor de 27 °C) durante el período 1967-2013. Se determinaron los estadígrafos valor medio o total (según el indicador) por año y estación climática (periodo lluvioso y poco lluvioso), desviación estándar, varianza y coeficiente de variación, y se ajustaron ecuación de regresión lineal entre los indicadores climáticos y las décadas. El número de días con lluvia disminuyó desde 93.7 en la década 1970-1979 hasta 81.1 en la etapa 2000-2009, con desviación estándar, varianza y coeficiente de variación de 5.73, 32.78 y 9.59 %, respectivamente así como r = -0.97 (P&lt;0.0001). La lluvia total disminuyó desde 1459.6 mm en la década 1970-1979 hasta 1327.6 mm en la etapa 2000-2009, con desviación estándar, varianza y coeficiente de variación de 30.49, 929.42 y 2.79 %, respectivamente así como r = -0.87 (P&lt;0.0001). El número de días con temperatura máxima mayor de 27 °C aumentó desde 222.9 en la década 1970-1979 hasta 279.6 en la etapa 2000-2009, con desviación estándar, varianza y coeficiente de variación de 15.25, 232.70 y 10.32 %, respectivamente así como r = 0.99 (P&lt;0.0001). El número de días con temperatura mínima menor de 15 °C disminuyó desde 57.4 en la década 1970-1979 hasta 43.9 en la etapa 2000-2009, con desviación estándar, varianza y coeficiente de variación de 7.33, 53.72 y 14.59 %, respectivamente así como r = -0.92 (P&lt;0.0001). La temperatura máxima aumentó desde 29.6 °C en la década 1970-1979 hasta 30.8 °C en la etapa 2000-2009, con desviación estándar, varianza y coeficiente de variación de 0.60, 0.06 y 1.88 %, respectivamente así como r = 0.95 (P&lt;0.0001). La temperatura mínima aumentó desde 20.4 °C en la década 1970-1979 hasta 23.4 °C en la etapa 2000-2009, con desviación estándar, varianza y coeficiente de variación de 1.31, 1.71 y 6.09 %, respectivamente así como r = 0.95 (P&lt;0.0001). La temperatura media aumentó desde 23.8 °C en la década 1970-1979 hasta 26.7 °C en la etapa 2000-2009, con desviación estándar, varianza y coeficiente de variación de 0.66, 0.64 y 2.50 %, respectivamente así como r = 0.92 (P&lt;0.0001). Durante el período poco lluvioso y en el lluvioso los indicadores tuvieron similar comportamiento, pero con valores específicos para cada uno de ellos. Al aplicar estos resultados en Cenchrus purpureus se observó disminución del rendimiento y aumento de la altura al comparar la década 1979 versus 2010. Se dispone del perfil de los indicadores estudiados en 40 años (línea base) y se comparan con lo ocurrido en la etapa 2010-2013; se conoce la variabilidad de los indicadores por década y estación climática; se aprecia la presencia del cambio climático; existen las bases de datos que permiten establecer modelos de predicción a mayor plazo y su repercusión en la producción de biomasa forrajera.]]></p></abstract>
