<self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2079-34802023000100001&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2079-34802023000100001&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2079-34802023000100001&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ With the purpose of determine the genetic diversity of the "Landim Mozambicano" goat, a panel of 33 microsatellites molecular markers were analyzed, selected and recommended by the &#8220;Comité de Expertos de la FAO&#8221; and the &#8220;Sociedad Internacional de Genética Animal&#8221; for diversity studies in sheep and goats species. Hair samples of 60 individuals from six Mozambique provinces (Manica, Tete, Sofala, Nampula, Gaza e Inhambane) were taken, which groups the highest number of animals from the breed. The ADN of the capillary bulb was extracted and amplified by PCR in the laboratorio de Biología Molecular del Animal Breeding Consulting, S.L, de la Universidad de Córdoba, España. Electophoresis in poliacrilamide gel was carried out to separate the obtaining fragments in an Automatic Sequencer ABI Prism® 377 XL (Applied Biosystems).The fragments analysis and genotyped was performed by the informatics programs Genescan and Genotyper 3.7 NT. It was determined: allele total per marker, expected and observed heterozygosities and Polymorphic Information Content. All the microsatellites were polymorphic, a total of 214 alleles with 6.4 as average per marker were found. From the analyzed panel a total of 29 were informative, 11 highly informative and 3 exceptionally informative for the breed. As main find, the heterozygosities reached values higher than 60 %. It is concluded that the microsatellites battery was adequate to study the breed, four of them can be excluded in future studies and the "Landim" goat is a breed with adequate genetic diversity.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Con el propósito de determinar la diversidad genética del caprino Landim Mozambicano, se analizó el panel de 33 marcadores moleculares de tipo microsatélites, seleccionados y recomendados por el Comité de Expertos de la FAO y la Sociedad Internacional de Genética Animal para estudios de diversidad en las especies ovina y caprina. Se tomaron muestras de pelo de 60 individuos de seis provincias de Mozambique (Manica, Tete, Sofala, Nampula, Gaza e Inhambane) que concentra la mayor cantidad de animales de la raza. En el laboratorio de Biología Molecular del Animal Breeding Consulting, S.L, de la Universidad de Córdoba, España, se procedió a extraer el ADN del bulbo capilar y posterior amplificación mediante PCR. Para separar los fragmentos obtenidos se realizó electroforesis en gel de poliacrilamida en un Secuenciador automático ABI Prism® 377 XL (Applied Biosystems). El análisis de los fragmentos y el genotipado se realizó mediante los programas informáticos Genescan y Genotyper 3.7 NT. Se determinó: total de alelos por marcador, Heterocigocidades esperada y observada y Contenido de Información Polimórfica. Todos los microsatélites resultaron polimórficos, se encontraron 214 alelos, con promedio de 6.4 por marcador. Del panel analizado 29 marcadores resultaron informativos, 11 altamente informativos y 3 excepcionalmente informativos para la raza. Como hallazgo fundamental las Heterocigosidades alcanzaron valores superiores al 60%. Se concluye que la batería de microsatélites resultó adecuada para estudiar la raza, 4 de ellos se pueden excluir en futuros estudios y el caprino Landim constituye una raza con adecuada diversidad genética.]]></p></abstract>
