<self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2304-01062021000300020&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2304-01062021000300020&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2304-01062021000300020&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN  Introducción: El presente trabajo aborda el análisis de la producción científica de la Academia de Ciencias de Cuba (ACC) mediante el empleo de herramientas bibliométricas, en el periodo comprendido entre el año 1995 hasta la actualidad, etapa donde la institución, a partir del Decreto Ley 163 de 1996, pasa a funcionar como un órgano consultor y asesor del Estado cubano en materia de ciencia, tecnología e innovación.  Métodos: Los datos utilizados para el análisis proviene de todos los documentos publicados en la web of science en el periodo de estudio. Indicadores bibliométricos como la ley de Price de crecimiento de la literatura científica, la ley de Lotka, el índice de transitoriedad y el modelo de Bradford fueron aplicados para explorar la producción, dispersión, distribución y crecimiento anual de los documentos. El empleo de la cartografía bibliométrica permitió la exploración de las redes de co-ocurrencia de los términos más utilizados en los artículos y la obtención de los diagramas estratégicos. Se complementa el estudio con el cálculo del índice de participación de los diferentes países e instituciones en las publicaciones de la ACC.  Resultados: A diferencia de la etapa comprendida entre los años 1968 y 1994, analizada en publicación anterior, donde la producción científica se ajustó mejor a un comportamiento exponencial, en esta etapa, el ajuste corresponde en mayor medida a un comportamiento lineal (r = 0,6111) a partir de la recuperación de 169 artículos. Se incrementa el índice de transitoriedad a 80,33 %, lo que indica que sigue concentrada la generación de la mayor parte de la producción científica en muy pocos autores. La tasa de coautoría fue de 2,89. El núcleo de Bradford está integrado, exclusivamente, por la revista Mycotaxon. La Universidade Estadual de Feira de Santana (como institución) y Brasil (como país) presentan los mayores índices de colaboración con la ACC. La visualización de la cartografía bibliométrica muestra el mapa de términos estrechamente relacionados. Conclusiones: Se evidencia en esta etapa un deterioro de los indicadores bibliométricos de la producción científica de la ACC con respecto a etapa anterior. El crecimiento de la literatura científica de la ACC fue lineal para el periodo estudiado, lo que confirma el incumplimiento de la ley de Price de crecimiento de la literatura científica, no observándose un punto de saturación del crecimiento. Por otro lado, la tasa de transitoriedad es muy alta, lo que indica la presencia de numerosos autores que publicaban esporádicamente con afiliación a la ACC. Durante este periodo, existe un cambio brusco en los temas de investigación de la ACC con respecto al periodo anterior.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT  Introduction: This paper addresses the analysis of the scientific production of the Cuban Academy of Sciences (ACC) with the use of bibliometric tools, in the period from 1995 to the present, stage where the institution, from Decree Law 163 of 1996, begins to function as a consulting and advisory entity for the Cuban Estate in science, technology and innovation.  Methods: The data used for the analysis come from all the documents published in the Web of Science in the study period. Bibliometric indicators such as Price's law of growth of the scientific literature, Lotka's law, the transience index and the Bradford model were applied to explore the production, dispersion, distribution and annual growth of documents. The use of bibliometric cartography allowed for the exploration of the co-occurrence networks of the most used terms in the articles and the obtaining of strategic diagrams. The study is complemented by the calculation of the participation rate of the different countries and institutions in ACC publications. Finally, through bibliometric cartography, we have explored the co-occurrence networks of the most used terms in documents generated by the ACC and made strategic diagrams.  Results: Unlike the stage between 1968 and 1994 analyzed in a previous publication, where scientific production was better adjusted to an exponential behavior, in this stage the adjustment corresponds to a greater extent to a linear growth (r = 0.6111), recovering 169 articles. The transience index is increased to 80.33 %, which indicates that the generation of most of the scientific production continues to be concentrated in very few authors. The co-authorship rate was 2,89. The core of Bradford is made up exclusively of Mycotaxon journal. The State University of Feira de Santana (as an institution) and Brazil (as a country) show the highest rates of collaboration with the ACC. The bibliometric mapping visualization shows the map of closely related terms. Conclusions: In this stage, a deterioration of the bibliometric indicators of the scientific production of the ACC is evident with respect to the previous stage. The growth of the scientific literature of the ACC was linear for the period studied, which confirms the breach of Price's law of growth of the scientific literature, not observing a growth saturation point. On the other hand, the transience rate is very high, which indicates the presence of numerous authors who published sporadically with affiliation to the ACC. During this period, there is an abrupt change in the ACC's research topics with respect to the previous period.]]></p></abstract>
