La motivación ha sido una categoría históricamente tratada por la psicología educativa, la pedagogía y la didáctica fundamentalmente, por su importancia para un proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje desarrollador y participativo, particularmente en las carreras de ciencias técnicas. En este sentido se presenta esta investigación que persigue como objetivo valorar el uso de las insignias digitales como elemento motivador para el proceso de formación en línea utilizando la plataforma Moodle como entorno virtual de enseñanza-aprendizaje (EVEA). El artículo ofrece las experiencias prácticas con el uso de insignias en Moodle y el resultado de su aplicación en 71 estudiantes de 5to año de la carrera Ingeniería Informática, de la Universidad Tecnológica de La Habana &#8220;José Antonio Echeverría&#8221;, CUJAE, durante el curso 2020-2021.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Online training has achieved great relevance after the period of restrictions on face-to-face education imposed by the Covid 19 pandemic, and all its associated processes must be strengthened to achieve the educational quality that today's society demands. Motivation has been a category historically treated by educational psychology, pedagogy and didactics fundamentally, due to its importance for a developmental and participatory teaching-learning process, particularly in technical science careers. In this sense, this research is presented, whose objective is to assess the use of digital badges as a motivating element for the online training process using the Moodle platform as a virtual teaching-learning environment (EVEA). The article offers practical experiences with the use of badges in Moodle and the result of their application in 71 5th year students of the Computer Engineering degree, at the &#8220;José Antonio Echeverría&#8221; Technological University of Havana, CUJAE, during the 2020 academic year. -2021.]]></p></abstract>
