Una manera de enfrentar el problema de las deformaciones es con el entendimiento de los mecanismos que la regulan. El objetivo del trabajo fue describir el comportamiento del movimiento del agua durante el secado de la madera, como factor influyente en las deformaciones de la misma durante este proceso, a partir de un modelo teórico, que unifica rasgos de la dinámica de Newton de un sistema de partículas y esquemas propios de los métodos de los elementos finitos. Este modelo permite establecer en detalle la influencia cualitativa y cuantitativa de la humedad en la naturaleza de las deformaciones, lo que permite entender los resultados experimentales y realizar predicciones, que implican en la actividad práctica, un ahorro considerable de recursos y de tiempo.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo O conhecimento dos fatores que originam deformações na madeira pode ajudar à seleção adequada do material antes do serrado. Um modo de confronto do problema das deformações é atingindo os mecanismos que regulam as. A finalidade do trabalho foi descrever o comportamento do movimento da água durante o secado da madeira, como fator agente nas deformações da mesma durante este processo, a partir dum padrão teórico, que associa rasgos da dinâmica de Newton de um sistema de partículas e desenhos próprios dos métodos dos elementos finitos. Este modelo permite estabelecer em minúcia, a influência qualitativa e quantitativa da humidade na natureza das deformações, o que promove perceber os resultados experimentais e realizar predições, que traem como consequências, na atividade prática, bom emprego de recursos e do tempo.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The knowledge of the factors that produce the deformations of the wood can help to a suitable selection of the material before its sawing. One way to address the problem of deformation is with the understanding of the mechanisms that regulate it. The objective of the work was to describe the behavior of the movement of water during the drying of wood as an influential factor in the deformations of the same during this process from a theoretical model, which uni&#64257;ca features Newton's dynamics of a system of particles and schemes of the methods of the finite elements. This model allows to establish in detail the qualitative and quantitative influence of the humidity in the nature of the deformations, which facilitates to value the experimental results, to make predictions in the practical activity, and to obtain a considerable saving of resources and time.]]></p></abstract>
