<self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2664-08802020000200005&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2664-08802020000200005&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2664-08802020000200005&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Los mapas de niveles ceráunicos de Cuba hasta el cierre del periodo en el año 2010 fueron realizados teniendo en cuenta solo la información que aportan las observaciones de código de estado de tiempo presente, debido a los faltantes de información y los sesgos que en el cálculo de los parámetros esto puede ocasionar. El objetivo del presente trabajo es caracterizar la distribución espacial de variables asociadas a tormentas para el territorio cubano, contabilizando el fenómeno a partir de los registros de código de estado de tiempo presente y pasado. La inclusión de los registros de código de tiempo pasado ha provocado en crecimiento del 4% para la ocurrencia de observaciones con tormenta, de 40 días para el nivel ceráunico y 7 para la desviación estándar. La distribución espacial del número promedio anual de días con tormenta presenta máximos al sur de Pinar del Río, centro sur de Ciego de Ávila, sur de Camagüey y zonas montañosas de las provincias orientales del país.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Until the period ending in 2010, keraunic levels maps in Cuba were made taking into account only information from present weather code reports, due to the lack of information regarding past weather codes and the bias this could cause in the calculus of parameters. The aim of this work is to characterize the spatial distribution of thunderstorm related variables over the Cuban Territory based on the present and past weather codes reports. The inclusion of past weather reports has caused an increase of 4% on the frequency of observations of storms and 40 days on the keraunic level, with 7 days on the standard deviation. The spatial distribution of the annual number of days with thunderstorms shows maximum values South of Pinar del Río, South central Ciego de Ávila South of Camagüey and at mountain zones of the Easter provinces of the Country.]]></p></abstract>
