Founded in 1993 by José Antonio López Espinosa, BA, Revista Cubana de Información en Ciencias de la Salud, the Cuban Journal for Health Information and Communication Professionals, is published with the purpose of meeting the publication and consultation needs of the country's information and communication students and professionals - librarians, information specialists, bibliographers, archivists, translators, editors and journalists - particularly those involved in health services, as well as fostering the exchange of experiences between health care specialists from Ibero-America and the rest of the world, by providing a channel of communication of high regional and international visibility.
The Journal has had a quarterly frequency since 2010, and intends to become a leading publication in the field of information sciences in Ibero-America.
